The refund to your account is a strictly one off event and has been made more or less as a sign of good faith. While we are always happy to investigate your trade queries, provided that there are no anomalies with regards to execution from the Liquidity providers or technical issues from our end we will not be accommodating compensation requests at all.
Please refer below for detailed information –
Execution in an ECN
Since you are trading in an ECN environment all your orders are executed at the first available price, this applies for all orders (and all trading accounts) i.e. stop orders, market orders, pending orders etc. To reiterate - once triggered your orders are filled at the first available price with absolutely no deal desk intervention. To be more specific – when you trade in an ECN environment ‘Stop Loss’ orders are not guaranteed. On the same note - slippage cannot be predicted nor is it predetermined i.e. it is absolutely dependent on market conditions at that given point in time.
Moreover, during news events, geopolitical events, roll over, beginning/ending of trading week and periods of high volatility - liquidity is considerably lower than usual and the probability of slippage occurring on trades executed at these times are high. The spreads are also likely to widen as there are lesser LPs (liquidity providers) providing prices as even the banks are hesitant to offer fills/take on risk. As a trader it is extremely important to be aware of scheduled news announcements and to actively manage your risk/exposure around these times. Moreover, we prefer clients to not trade the news as it is just too risky and not conducive for long term consistent profitability.
As you have experienced - it certainly is possible for the account balance to go into negative. So please do always manage your risk proactively.
We have also done a webinar recently with regards to the risks of trading around the news, here is the link - http://vimeo.com/74929900 . Please do go through the first half of the webinar as it goes into detailed explanations with regards to liquidity, slippage, execution and bank behaviour during high volatility and new events. (If you intend to have intraday sensitive exposure or orders around news events, it is important that you view the webinar mentioned above).
What this implies is that - if there is slippage on one of your trades in the future and after the investigation if there are no anomalies with regards to execution from the Liquidity providers or technical issues from our end we will not be accommodating compensation requests. We will also provide you with the execution details as obtained from our liquidity provider to show that the orders were executed at the first available price in the market at that given point in time.

Wskazuje na to m.in.
